Worksoft: Process Automation, Testing, and Compliance for Enterprise Packaged Applications

An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief

Business processes that include interactions with ERP and other packaged applications typically involve various end-user touchpoints and interactions with other applications, both on-premises and in the cloud.

Automating such processes is itself a software challenge, requiring visibility into the processes as well as the ability to test, manage, and document them.

Worksoft addresses these challenges by offering process automation for enterprise packaged applications, as well as process discovery, documentation, and testing.

By abstracting such processes end-to-end, Worksoft is able to deliver ‘transferrable automation,’ enabling different people to test or deploy an automation in different environments for different purposes.

For example, one group may create an automation for testing purposes, while another group leverages the same automation to support robotic process automation (RPA) in production.

When the packaged app vendors release updates, Worksoft is able to discover if such changes will impact a process. This ability can facilitate the inclusion of such processes within a DevOps approach.

Worksoft’s ability to document processes also serves an important compliance role, combining visibility into the process itself with data about how the organization has run the process over time.
